Ashley Road Air Raid Shelter Epsom
Surrey Area

Epsom air raid shelter is still in very good condition, with the exception of a lot of graffiti in the first two side rooms. There are a lot of features in the shelter, and the purposes of some of these features is still open to conjecture. I feel that the entrance tunnel was built before the second world war; the curved brickwork, especially on the ceiling, is normally found on Victorian structures. Going further into the shelter, the walls soon give way to corrugated iron and concrete.

This area is currently being advertised as available to let for underground storage use, with an area of 10,000sq ft.
