Near to the radar station at Dunkirk is a Bofors tower, so called because of the Bofors gun that was placed here to protect the station from enemy aircraft. Also in place here was a Lewis gun, mounted on a tripod. The inside of the building was for use by the men who manned the guns.

A shelf for a tily lamp, a rare find in shelters such as this.
The walls and ceiling of this shelter are made from concrete cast against corrugated iron.
Another passageway, the floor is covered in shingle.
