This chapel dates from the middle of
the 13th century, although it's original purpose is not clear. It is
possible that it was originally built as a storehouse, and only later,
during periods of religious upheaval, was it used for religious
purposes. By the end of the eighteenth century it was used as a beer
cellar. It is constructed from French stone and chalk blocks.
