This tunnel was found in the early
1990's while workmen were laying new floorboards. Access was only
possible with permission. Major building works are due to take place
on this site in the near future, and it is unlikely that the tunnel
will survive. The origins of this tunnel are not really clear, but it
could well have been used for smuggling. Various theories have been
put forward, including a passageway for hotel residents to gain access
to the beach. If anyone has any other info or ideas about these
tunnels, please let me know
